WE CAN WIN
"Looking at the past margins in the races alone isn’t the right way to judge. For one thing, it doesn’t consider the turnout differential between off-year and presidential elections. For example, Clark County Republicans turned out at 67% in the 2022 election, but at 76% in the 2020 presidential election. That’s a difference of 19,000 Republican votes in Clark alone. Stavros Anthony has proved (by doing it) that a Clark County district which is up to 12% upside down to Dems can be won by a Republican that runs the right campaign.
Running our race modeling on the 06/02/2023 SOS registration data and using the turnout percentages from the 2020 presidential election for Clark, Washoe, and the state, shows that the right candidate and campaign would win 22 Assembly seats – enough for a majority. None of these races are even half as upside down as 12% so with the right candidate and campaign that allows independents to vote for them, a Republican can win in them all.
The number one thing we have to do is overcome defeatism and realize we can win. Look at the winning races to see how it’s done. Look at the losing races that should have been “wins” to see what to avoid."
